First Made in China A320neo FFS Passed Level D Certification

Tianjin, China, August 25th - The first “Made in China” A320neo Full Flight Simulator (FFS) developed and manufactured by ACCEL Flight Simulation (ACCEL) passed the highest level D certification by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

ACCEL has successfully certified and delivered 737 NG and A320ceo level D FFSs to its customers and has established itself in the world as the only China indigenous Training Device Manufacturer (TDM) that has designed, certified, and delivered level D FFSs for both Boeing and Airbus mainstream aircraft platforms. The high quality of ACCEL’s products is manifested by the high fidelity training environment, consistent stability, and high reliability in the operation. ACCEL also provides the customers with quick responses and the highest level of services to ensure customers’ worry-free operation. It is the largest civil aircraft research and development center in China, bearing the overall technical responsibility of the development of China’s civil aircraft projects, and undertaking the tasks of aircraft design, research and development, test and verification, airworthiness certification and key technology research. The cooperation between ACCEL and SADRI will enable the utilization of ACCEL’s advanced technologies to the domestic aircraft platform to accelerate its development, and lay a solid foundation for further cooperation between both parties in the future.

ACCEL’s first A320ceo FFS passed CAAC level D certification in November 2019 and was officially delivered to Tianjin Aviation Safety Training (Tianjin AST) for training in December 2019. After the delivery of the FFS, the ACCEL team started the FFS upgrade while ensuring the normal training operation of Tianjin AST. In the face of COVID-19, ACCEL actively responded to the call of the national government and the local government and timely deployed ACCEL COVID-19 Prevention Implementation Plan to resolutely contain the virus, thus the FFS upgrade was affected to some extent. However, with the team’s unremitting efforts, ACCEL finally overcame all difficulties and completed the upgrade with high quality, and successfully passed the level D certification.

In this regard, Dr. Martin Ding, ACCEL General Manager, was very pleased and was full of confidence in the company’s development, “In the face of COVID-19, ACCEL moved promptly to contain the virus and ensure safe production. The smooth progress of all projects has fully demonstrated the ACCEL team’s determination to overcome difficulties and the ability to solve problems. ACCEL will keep up with the technology trend of civil aviation, address the challenges for more customers, and make unremitting efforts to promote the development of civil aviation.”

ACCEL is in the process of integrating 737 MAX FFS and plans to certify this platform soon. In the future, ACCEL is committed to continuing to offer industry-leading technology, products, and services for more civil aircraft platforms relying on excellent quality assurance and high-quality service solutions.
